Asgrow® Brand Soybeans Offer Current And Future Benefits for Farmers
There are many advantages for farmers who plant Asgrow® brand soybeans for the 2026 growing season, as well as future enhancements to help maximize performance.
This season, the brand introduced an expanded lineup of its Asgrow® XtendFlex® portfolio with 12 new products, plus one new conventional variety. All Asgrow products are bred to promote specific performance characteristics, such as excellent emergence, early-season vigor and robust pod development.
Effective disease protection is also critical to a successful soybean crop. Asgrow brand manager Brittany Eubank noted that the brand’s XtendFlex lineup comes standard with Acceleron® Solutions seed treatment to help protect against Pythium, early-season Phytophthora, Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium, with an exclusive combination of fungicides and more rapid and increased emergence of seedlings under certain cold conditions.
“In addition, defensive agronomics are built into all Asgrow products to help protect against other top soybean diseases, including white mold, Phytophthora, brown stem rot and iron deficiency chlorosis,” she said.
New weed management tools
Farmers will be able to resume using dicamba in their weed management program this season following EPA registration of Bayer Crop Science’s Stryax™ dicamba herbicide, a restricted-use pesticide, for the 2026 season, pending state approvals.
Growers value the flexibility that dicamba and Asgrow XtendFlex soybeans add to their operations. Stryax will provide them with another vital tool to manage tough-to-control and herbicide-resistant weeds.
“Stryax is an ideal dicamba option to help manage glyphosate-resistant broadleaf weeds, as well as other tough to control weeds, in dicamba-tolerant soybean soybeans and cotton,” said Eubank. “Stryax also offers up to 14 days of soil activity on certain broadleaf weeds, helping farmers keep their fields clean.”
All applications of Stryax will require the inclusion of a qualified volatility reduction adjuvant, such as a VaporGrip® Xtra Agent, as well as a drift reduction agent in the tank mix.
New soybean trait for 2027
Eubank said the Asgrow brand is excited to offer farmers increased yield potential and improved weed control with Vyconic™, an exciting new fourth-generation soybean trait package. Planned for introduction in 2027, Vyconic is the first soybean trait in the industry to feature tolerance to five herbicides. It adds 2,4-D and mesotrione to the glyphosate, glufosinate and dicamba tolerance currently provided with XtendFlex Technology to significantly enhance options for broadleaf weed control and resistance.
“Vyconic has shown impressive higher yield potential in field trials,” Eubank said. “For 2027, it will offer the broadest maturity range in the Asgrow product portfolio."
Season-long support
Advanced seed agronomics, traits and crop protection products are a big part of the success that farmers can experience with Asgrow brand products. Eubank noted they also benefit from the partnership they have with the brand’s seed dealers and technical agronomists to help maximize performance on every acre.
