For head-to-head comparison fungicides were applied as a full season program with four repeated foliar applications. Follow the label for rates and timings for commercial applications. Applications were made on 6/12/2021 (App. A), 7/19/2021 (App. B), 8/9/2021 (App. C) and 9/15/2021 (App. D). Nonionic surfactant was used with all spray applications. Luna Flex @ 8 fl oz/A and Miravis Prime @ 11.4 fl oz/A treatments were not evaluated in Waynesville, NC trial. The severity of early blight was evaluated at regular intervals and data were used to calculate areas under the disease progress curve (AUDPC). Data for shoot strikes and infected fruits were recorded on May 29 and July 10, respectively. For resistance management, please note that Luna Flex contains both a Group 7 / SDHI and Group 3 / DMI fungicide. Rotate the use of Luna Flex or other Group 7 and 3 fungicides within a growing season sequence with different groups that control the same pathogens.
