Education Series: FFA Working To Develop Our Future
Tuesday, April 10, 2012
We at Bayer CropScience feel that the future of the agriculture industry is in pretty good hands. After a recent visit to the Bayer CropScience US headquarters in NC by two current National FFA Officers, we were reminded of the great past and bright future of the FFA organization.
Jason Troendle and Seth Pratt visited with several Bayer leaders and employees, discussing not only where the FFA, but also the ag industry as a whole, is going in the future. You may have seen Adrian Percy’s blog post a few weeks ago outlining the challenges that the ag industry faces in filling the talent gap. While there are fewer numbers of qualified ag scientists and professionals, organizations such as the FFA are working hard to develop leadership skills and ag literacy in both urban and rural students.
Bayer CropScience is a supporter of the National FFA and the quality of leaders that it is producing to meet the demands of our future workforce. Thanks again to Jason, Seth and the FFA staff who stopped in for a visit at Bayer!
