Commodity Classic Wraps Up Eventful Week for Bayer CropScience
Monday, March 12, 2012
The Bayer CropScience booth last week at Commodity Classic offered a great opportunity for Bayer CropScience sales and marketing personnel to visit with growers about new products and programs. The trade show also brought to a close an exciting, eventful week for Bayer CropScience that began with the 2012 Ag Issues Forum.
Visitors to the Bayer CropScience booth at Commodity Classic learned more about many of the sustainability initiatives already underway. A large pigweed display demonstrated how easily seeds can spread in a field, helping visitors visualize the speed at which herbicide resistant plants can take over a field.
Visitors could also respond to a survey that asked them to finish this statement: “The most important benefit of sustainability to your operation/company is:” The two most popular responses were “Leaving a legacy/protecting the future” and “Increased efficiency/profitability.”
In addition, visitors to the booth could enter the Corvus® One Pass for Cash sweepstakes for a chance to win a grand prize of $5,000 - http://www.corvussweepstakes.us/
Earlier in the week about 60 representatives of the ag media attended the Ag Issues Forum to hear thought leaders discuss everything from food waste to on-farm sustainability practices. Videos from each of the presenters can be found on the Videos portion of this site and on our YouTube channel. Photos from the Ag Issues Forum and Commodity Classic can be found on our Flickr site.
