We were thankful to have awesome partners help us out in spreading the word about the #Thankful4Ag campaign including Chef Alli
, from Chef Alli’s Farm Fresh Kitchen on Kansas City’s WIBW 13 News This Morning.
Chef Alli’s support for the program meant a great deal to me personally as a wannabe cook, but also because I know there are few that appreciate where food comes from as much as chef’s do.
Like us, she is proud of the American farmer their commitment to providing affordable, nutritious food. Chef Alli
articulated it perfectly when she said, “one of the biggest problems in the land of plenty is that there are still people who are hungry.”
During her weekly cooking segment, Chef Alli encouraged viewers to go to Thankful4Ag.com
and create their own virtual holiday meal. With her help we were able to reach our goal of donating 200,000 meals to those in need.
I’m certainly #Thankful4Ag, but I’m also thankful to folks like Chef Alli, Sarah Haney
, Rancher Girl
, Local Farm Mom
, Okie Girl
, Katie Uhlaender
and everyone who helped us spread the word.
