Every year on April 22, people around the world come together and celebrate Earth Day by discussing the environmental challenges we face as a planet and what we can to together to overcome them.
As the demands of our world increase, our goal at Bayer CropScience is to help make sure that every field thrives, so yields are high and harvests are secure. Our scientific breakthroughs, products, and world class experts bring new innovations and solutions to help farmers produce safe, healthy and affordable food.
We are working to make our world a better place every day of the year. In addition to our commitment to bring healthy food to tables, we are also committed to innovations that improve lives, protect the planet, and strengthen communities. Today, as we celebrate Earth Day, we wanted to highlight the major sustainability efforts we have focused on this year and invite you to share your contributions too.
Programs like CARE
are dedicated to sustainable farming practices – supporting the ongoing collaboration between growers and beekeepers. As a company, we have dedicated 25 years to bee health through the Bee Care Program
. Our Bee Care Center
in North Carolina will celebrate its first anniversary next week and our recent Feed A Bee
initiative will grow 50 million flowers for bees in 2015.
Sustainability also goes beyond the field. At Bayer CropScience, we are committed to community leadership and giving back to our community. Employee volunteer programs are an essential part of our culture, whether it be cleaning up the Blue River in Kansas, City or volunteering at Passage Home
and Food Bank CENC
in the Research Triangle Park area.

In the last year, we have reached out to find out what the community is doing to #LeaveABetterWorld. Check out our Leave A Better World online poll to see what sustainable initiatives ranked the highest amongst our audience.
Share with us how you are celebrating Earth Day with photos using #LeaveABetterWorld on Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, or tumblr.
I am proud to be part of this company every day and am happy to celebrate that on Earth Day!
