There may be fewer women in Agriculture but they make up a growing segment of the 2.6 million Americans who work on farms across the nation—in fact 30 percent of all farm operators are women
. Inspired by the #Thankful4Ag campaign, Chef Alli pays tribute to the hardworking women in Agriculture during her “Farm Fresh Kitchen” segment on news station WIBW in Topeka. Cattle rancher Debbie Lyons-Blythe joins the segment to discuss her role as an American farmer and as a mom to five kids.
Chef Alli also cooks up a hearty beef stew in honor of Debbie while highlighting how consumers can get involved with #Thankful4Ag to help feed the 48 million Americans struggling with food insecurity.
