Bayer Announces New Formulation with Armada 50 WDG

Armada® fungicide was recently changed from a wettable powder to a water dispersible granule, announced Bayer Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (April 22, 2011) – Armada® fungicide was recently changed from a wettable powder to a water dispersible granule, announced Bayer Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP. Armada 50 WDG, formulated specifically for lawn care operators, provides long-lasting disease control for turfgrass and landscape ornamentals as well as plant health benefits in a residential setting.

“Armada has long been an effective tool for preventive and curative disease control,” said Jimmy Johnson, fungicide business manager, Bayer Environmental Science. “With the new water dispersible granules, Armada is now easy to measure and use in a backpack application or large mixing tank making it an excellent choice for today’s lawn and landscape professional.”

Armada 50 WDG, which contains the active ingredients triadimefon and trifloxystrobin, provides a broad spectrum of activity against most turf and ornamental diseases of concern in northern and southern climates. With its unique dual mode of action, Armada combines the power of systemic and contact fungicides for twice the disease-fighting power. It controls turf diseases such as brown patch and dollar spot for up to 21-28 days as well as the control of summer patch and more. This powerhouse of a fungicide controls diseases in ornamental landscapes like black spot, leaf spot, rust and scab.

Armada 50 WDG dual powered fungicide not only controls important turfgrass and ornamental diseases, but it is also labeled to provide plant health benefits demonstrated in warm season turfgrass sod by the very obvious leaf greenness and increased density.
