Bayer CropScience has announced that Dr. Nick Duck, head of research, corn and soybeans, will participate in an industry roundtable discussion at the Sixth Annual Agriculture Development Forum.
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC Feburary 3, 2011 — Bayer CropScience, one of the world’s top innovative crop science companies in the areas of crop protection, non-agricultural pest control, seeds and traits, has announced that Dr. Nick Duck, head of research, corn and soybeans, will participate in an industry roundtable discussion at the Sixth Annual Agriculture Development Forum. The forum will take place Thursday, Feb. 3 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Governor Holshouser Building on the N.C. State Fairgrounds. The industry roundtable discussion will focus on the cost of agricultural inputs, such as seed and fertilizer. Nick Piggott SVP, Technology/Interactive Services at Howard, Merrell & Partners, will moderate the panel.

- Matthew Martin, senior vice president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s Charlotte branch, will be the keynote speaker. His remarks will focus on monetary policy and its effect on agriculture in early 2011.
