The Forum, a three-hour event which was geared toward area farmers, focused on the economy and how it will affect agriculture in North Carolina and the United States in 2011.
As part of this, the roundtable discussion centered on the cost of agricultural inputs, such as seed and fertilizer.
"At Bayer, we are committed to providing the agriculture industry with the products it needs to be successful, for example, seeds and trait technology," Nick said. "Thus, it was an honor to have the opportunity to participate in a discussion with other industry experts about the future of our industry."
Other roundtable participants included Troy Erny, vice president of fertilizer sales at South Region PotashCorp; Jay Brinn, sales manager at East Coast Equipment Company; and Daniel H. Moenter, manager of state government affairs at Marathon Petroleum Company LP.
