InVigor® Canola Continues More for Everyone, Improves Early Book for Growers

More grower rewards, extended Early Book and third year of community awards

Research Triangle Park, N.C., Dec. 14, 2011 – Canola growers have more incentive this year to make their plans early for the 2012 growing season. When they purchase their InVigor® seed during the Early Book period by Bayer CropScience, they will receive more grower rewards than ever before and can earn an award for their community, too. Plus, Early Book will last longer, providing more opportunity for growers to participate.

Grower rewards come in Innovation Plus points, which can be redeemed for prizes or cash. This year’s Early Book has been separated into two new tiers.

TIER 1 TIER 2
  Dates Before Dec. 16, 2011 Dec. 17, 2011 – Feb. 29, 2012
Rewards $90 in Innovation Plus points $60 in Innovation Plus points

This year’s Early Book program is again tied to the More for Everyone community awards program. In addition to the grower rewards, 50 cents will go toward More for Everyone awards for every bag of seed purchased before Feb. 29, 2012. Only growers who participate in Early Book can nominate a deserving non-profit organization to receive a More for Everyone award. The community group must be a registered 501(c) non-profit organization.

“We stand firm in the knowledge that InVigor canola provides More for Everyone,” says Tom Schuler, BioScience business development manager for Bayer CropScience. “Through stronger early season growth, effective in-crop weed control and consistently better yields, growers benefit from InVigor canola. Additional benefits include rewards for making your InVigor decision early and being able to work together with fellow canola growers to make a difference in the rural communities we all depend on.”

Growers can submit nominations through their InVigor seed retailer up to Feb. 29, 2012. A panel of independent judges will select the More for Everyone award recipients and determine the amount awarded to each group.

Since 2010, Bayer CropScience has awarded more than $55,000 to organizations in canola-growing communities through the More for Everyone program. The total amount awarded in 2012 is determined by how many bags of seed are purchased during Early Book.

Produced from the best genetics, InVigor hybrids have strong early-season growth, which results in higher yields than other canola seed consistently. With InVigor  hybirds, growers can rely on outstanding crop establishment, uniform maturity and greater harvestability over many other hybrids. All InVigor hybrids carry the LibertyLink® trait, which provides built-in tolerance to Ignite® herbicide.
