Bredemyer Responsible for Sales Performance in Texas, New Mexico, Utah

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (October 23, 2012) – Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP, announces the appointment of Ed Bredemeyer as Area Manager for the professional pest management business in Texas, New Mexico and Utah.

Based in Texas, Bredemeyer’s role is to increase the sales figures of assigned accounts in the area; drive sales through assigned distributor branches; build and maintain relationships with distributors and key end-users; and manage various distributor accounts in the pest business.

Bredemeyer previously worked for a Bayer distributor, Estes Inc., from 1997 to 2004, as the Southwest region specialty ag and pest control operator sales representative. In October 2004, he transitioned to the manufacturing side of the business when he joined Central Life Sciences/Zoecon. There Bredemeyer served the four corners region (Colorado, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico), plus the states of Nevada and Nebraska, as well as oversaw select national accounts.

Bredemeyer graduated from Texas A&M in College Station with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics. Having grown up on a farm and ranch in the heart of West Texas, he has always had a passion for insect and plant life.

“I am excited to be joining the Bayer team and look forward to being part of an organization with such rich history in the professional pest management industry,” said Bredemeyer. “I’m looking forward to contributing to the great success of my territory, plus building and maintating relationships with our valued distributors in the area.”

Josh Shoemaker, Western Regional Sales Manager for Bayer’s Professional Pest Management business, said, “We are so thrilled to welcome Ed to the team as a new Area Manager. His extensive experience in the sales field and knowledge of the pest management business, specifically the manufacturing side of the industry, provides a valuable combination of assets for his new role.”
