Bayer CropScience Takes Root in Iowa Through Tree Donation

Eight trees will be donated to community organizations

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (Aug. 29, 2012) — Good things are growing at the 2012 Farm Progress Show, and we don’t just mean crops! During 2012 Farm Progress Show, Bayer CropScience will donate eight trees to community groups throughout the state.

“At Bayer CropScience, we like to help communities grow as well as crops, and we’re excited to do both at this year’s Farm Progress Show,” said Randy Bloom, district manager for Bayer CropScience. “We look forward to planting these trees, and hope to see the trees as well as the groups who receive them bloom for years to come.”

The following groups, all located in Iowa, will receive trees from Bayer CropScience: Northwest Iowa Soccer Club (Spencer), Marathon Fire Department (Marathon), Wall Lake Chamber of Commerce (Wall Lake), Marcus Community Fair (Cleghorn), and Elliott Wetlands Project (Elliott).

The trees will be at the Bayer CropScience booth (Lot 1126) at the Farm Progress Show until they are delivered to their new homes.
