What You’ll Get


Through standard participation, we’ll provide you with sticky traps, how-to guides, and tailored recommendations to help you stay ahead of corn rootworm pressure.

You will receive more sticky traps for this project than you would with the traditional Watch program. With each field you enroll, you will receive 16 traps total - this breaks down to four traps per field that are swapped weekly over a four-week period. For example: if you enrolled three fields, you will receive a total of 48 traps.

Beetle Monitoring Project Process:

  1. Install 4 sticky traps per field for a 7-day period.
  2. Record the average number of beetles captured per trap and divide that number by 7 for your weekly field average. Remember: Keep this number in a safe place, you will need it to submit your data later in the season.
  3. Continue to monitor each field for 2-4 weeks. Remember: Every week you will install four new traps in your field.
  4. Submit your data by September 16th via the form you received by email in August. Don't worry, we'll be in touch with more details on this portion when the time comes!

The more fields you enroll for, the more traps you'll receive. Even better, the more fields you track the more prize** tiers you’ll be eligible for.
