Kansas City

From pest and disease control to weed management solutions, our Kansas City facility supports nearly every aspect of modern agricultural production.

Kansas City manufacturing

After years of study in Bayer research laboratories, exhaustive evaluation in the field and intensive review by regulators, the products that will help put plentiful, wholesome, affordable food on your family dinner table are ready to be produced. That is where our manufacturing site in Kansas City comes in. Our 240-acre facility (about a third of which are developed) produces numerous top-selling seed treatments, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides designed to help farmers meet the world’s increasing demand for food, feed, fiber and energy crops.

Safety and Environment

Environmental Responsibility

Our Kansas City staff works hard to preserve and protect the environment.  Our employees take great pride in the facility’s excellent environmental record and the systems and initiatives that are in place to ensure that legacy continues. Our advanced wastewater treatment system ensures water leaving our site meets strict state standards; likewise, air emitted from our processes passes through sophisticated air pollution controls.  We work constantly to re-use and recycle everything we can, whether process chemicals, scrap metal, wooden pallets or office paper. We strive every day to reduce our environmental footprint.

Safety Commitment

The safety of our neighbors and our employees is always first priority. The Kansas City site takes a proactive approach to safety, conducting safety audits, training sessions and detailed risk assessments on a regular basis. Our employees work together diligently to ensure that our technically sophisticated, computer-based production systems operate optimally and safely. Our goal is zero incidents and zero accidents.

Community and Cultural Engagement

Community Commitment

The Kansas City site actively supports the civic, social, educational and cultural needs of the community. The site’s firm commitment is demonstrated by the strength of its Community Advisory Panel. Through regular panel meetings, Kansas City maintains an open, collaborative dialogue with community members that include neighborhood leaders, local fire and police department members, and environmental stakeholders. // MORE
