In the next 30 days, southern states can expect higher than normal temperatures and normal precipitation, except for the southeast where higher than normal precipitation is expected. Over the next two weeks, the south can expect cooler than normal temperatures and higher than normal precipitation.
Frogeye Leaf Spot Risk Summary
Risk of frogeye leaf spot is moderate to high in the coastal regions, and low elsewhere in the south.
Next two-week risk interpretation
In the next two weeks, conditions are moderately favorable for frogeye leaf spot along the coast, with environmental conditions that do not favor this disease in regions north of Interstate 10. Areas in yellow, scout soybean fields, and consider a fungicide application on susceptible varieties at or around the R2-R3 stage. Areas in orange, a fungicide application is recommended on susceptible varieties. The goal should be to prevent lesions.
