One-Month Weather Outlook

Over the next 30 days, above average temperatures are predicted for the south. Precipitation will be normal except for the coastal regions which should expect above normal rainfalls. In the next 14 days, temperatures will be above average for the entire south. Precipitation will be above average along the east coast and near normal elsewhere.

Frogeye Leaf Spot Risk Summary

Risk of frogeye leaf spot remains moderate within most of the southern region.

Next two-week risk interpretation

In the next two weeks, conditions are moderately favorable for frogeye leaf spot in most of the soybean production areas. Areas in yellow and orange, scout susceptible cultivars that have yet to reach the R5/beginning seed developmental stage. Consider a fungicide application on later planted, susceptible varieties if lesions are found in the middle or upper canopy and the field is around the R4/full pod developmental stage.
