DELTAPINE® BRAND COTTON VARIETIES CONTINUE TO RAISE THE BAR

November 2, 2022

When it was commercialized for planting in 2016, the Deltapine® brand cotton variety, DP 1646 B2XF, was a step up in yield and fiber quality potential. It dominated market share across the U.S. for several seasons due to consistent, high-end performance.

Through a combination of innovative breeding and 15 years of real-world product evaluation in the Deltapine New Product Evaluator (NPE) Program, the Deltapine brand has been able to bring forward cotton varieties in the Class of ’20, Class of ’21 and Class of ’22 that offer improved yield potential over DP 1646 B2XF and with some of these products, improved fiber quality potential.

Three years of research shows that the last three classes of Deltapine brand cotton varieties feature products offering higher yield potential than DP 1646 B2XF and additional benefits that make them good options for replacing DP 1646 B2XF in 2023.
